CSS 110 Introduction to Home Computing

Introduction to Home Computing is designed to provide participants with the basic skills necessary to operate and, where practical, maintain and upgrade personal computers. A required two credit undergraduate course for the Bachelor of Science degree in Crop and Soil Science, CSS 110 may also be taken on a non-credit basis. While a small portion of the course focuses on computer programs used in agronomy, CSS 110 is largely a general overview of personal computers, appropriate for non-specialist participants.

Fundamentals of Intermediate Algebra

Fundamentals of Intermediate Algebra covers a basic selection of material from two years of high school algebra. It is intended to provide students with a sufficient background to succeed in a course in College Algebra (Math 103). Many students have successfully completed this course and gone on to succeed in College Algebra. Topics covered are properties of real numbers, linear equations, polynomial and exponential functions, and some rational functions, with an emphasis on the development of both skills and concepts. There is a considerable emphasis on problem solving.
