The International Food Law Certificate Program courses are offered by the Institute for Food Laws & Regulations and the College of Agricultura and Natural Resources at Michigan State University through the ANGEL learning management system. ANGEL is an acronym which stands for "A New Global Environment for Learning". Tuition for fall semester 2006 under the Lifelong Education Program is (US) $1,037.25 per course ($345.75 per credit hour x 3 credits). International Lifelong Education Students living outside the United States are exempt from matriculation fees, international student fees, and international health insurance [If you are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at MSU, the particular tuition rate and fees for that program would apply.] Tuition increases are posted one month prior to the commencement of each semester. Tuition for spring semester 2007 under the Lifelong Education Program is expected to be (US) $1,337.25 per course ($445.75 per credit hour x 3 credits). This amount includes a $100.00 per credit hour special fee ($100.00 x 3 credits = $300.00) that will be assessed starting spring semester 2007. The 3 credits received per course are fully accredited through Michigan State University. Up to 10 credits through the Lifelong Education Program may be transferred to a graduate program.] [If you are enrolled as a degree candidate at MSU, please see the tuition rate applicable to your program.] Tuition rate increases will be announced at least one month prior to the start of a new semester. At the time of enrollment, please notify the Registrar if you need graduate-level credit for any degree program. Students who wish to audit a course must notify the Registrar at the time of enrolling or by the end of the first week of the course. You will have access to the course materials and pay the same tuition, however, you will not be required to do the assignments, will not receive credit and will not be eligible for the International Food Laws Distance Education Certificate. ENROLLING THROUGH THE LIFELONG EDUCATION PROGRAM: All students who wish to enroll as Lifelong Education Students at Michigan State University for credit should follow the procedures under "Enrolling as a Lifelong Education Student at Michigan State University." To link directly to the online Lifelong Education application, click here. Be sure to list yourself as "Lifelong" not as "Freshman, Transfer, or Graduate". MSU ELECTRONIC BILLING AND PAYMENT SERVICES. Beginning July 26, 2004, electronic billing is the official means of generating tuition bills to all Michigan State University students. This means that paper bills will no longer be mailed via the U.S. Postal Service. The electronic billing and payment system will automatically send an e-mail notification to the student’s MSU provided e-mail address when a bill is ready to be viewed online. Billing statements will be available in STUINFO (http://STUINFO.msu.edu) For further information on electronic billing and payment services, click here. Students who are currently enrolled in a degree program at Michigan State University may register for these distance education courses through the online enrollment system. click here."
